Current Public Health Programs and Data ... Status of Parkinson’s Care -- Foundations provide most information and referral services for patients as well as public and provider education. State and local service programs... in Florida, Michigan, Kentucky, Pacific NW (Seattle), Houston, etc. Little Data-- A few community studies have been done. No national data are available on incidence and prevelance. Most often questions on PD are not asked on national surveys. PD registries -- State registry in Nebraska; NIH registry project is contemplated to gather geneology data (difficulty due to privacy laws)
