The QuADPaC program will utilize a range of methods to develop and disseminate information:

•  Research on efficacy and costs of PD treatments, including:
• development and evaluation of criteria to assess patient outcomes,
• standards for quality of care,
• protocols for optimal treatment of patients,
• cost-benefit analyses of different treatments.
• Market research on:
• PD patients' access to needed services,
• payer (insurance, managed care, medicare, medicaid) policies and practices with respect to PD care,
• incentives/ barriers to filling gaps in coverage for optimal care.
• Epidemiological studies and sample surveys on:
• the incidence and  prevalence of PD,
• the care needs of individuals with PD,
• the costs of PD
• other ramifications of Parkinson's Disease for individuals, families and the community.
• Education and awareness on the problems and unique elements of PD care by:
• health providers (medical and non medical),
• health care payers,
• the public.
• Demonstration of management methods to improve PD care by:
• the application of medical and services research findings such as:
• coordination of services through interorganizational networks,
• optimal protocols and designs for specialty disease management,
• the effective utilization of information technology, patient and cost data.
